Each of us on the GoYodel executive team have been involved with non-profit organizations and believe strongly that the fabric of every community is strengthened when there is a robust collaborative atmosphere between businesses and non-profits.
The engine that has made the collaboration run has been the baby boomer population that were willing to “pay to give.” That is, willing to join Kiwanis, Lions or Rotary clubs that do good work within their community. However, as the millennial generation becomes more dominant in the workforce, their mentality is dictating a new paradigm for non-profit organizations. Current research of millennials indicates that:
• 72% support businesses that help causes
• 83% believe businesses should be involved in social causes
• 69% want businesses to help consumers to support causes
This change in expectation fits perfectly into the mission of GoYodel. We make is easy to businesses to be active cause marketers but, in the process, give a valuable benefit to both the businesses and non-profits which collaboration on our platform.
